The Ho Youth Artisans Association on Wednesday organised a massive clean-up exercise in the ministries area in Ho to rid the streets and corners of filth.
The group made up of masons, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, hairdressers, painters and potters among others swept the streets, cleared weeds and de-silted drains along the streets.
Mr Isaac Afeku, Public Relations Officer of the Association said the exercise was to mark their 10th anniversary and to keep the Volta Regional capital clean ahead of the rains.
He said artisanry had links with beauty and cleanliness hence the decision of the Association to help reposition Ho as the cleanest and energy city of Ghana.
Mr Afeku said the Association planned to sustain the clean-up campaign and engage in regular sensitisation of members to keep their work places and surroundings clean.
He called for the planting of trees and placing of dustbins along the streets to keep them clean.
